We are looking for an experienced English Teacher!

Mercury Development specializes in developing custom software for various US companies: from large enterprises to tiniest startups. Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver 16 hours of English lessons per week to 8 employee groups of different levels, focusing on business topics and communication skills
• Create lesson plans and materials tailored to learners’ work contexts and English levels
• Conduct regular progress assessments, provide constructive feedback, and adjust lessons as needed
• Organize and run placement and proficiency tests for external job candidates
• Help assess English levels of both employees and external candidates
• Keep accurate records of lessons, attendance, and assessment result
• Collaborate with HR and team leads to make sure training supports company goals and communication standards
• Stay informed about new trends in teaching professional and technical English
• Support the improvement of the company’s internal language training program.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience teaching English to adults (corporate or tech background preferred)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field
• Experience creating and delivering tailored language programs for professionals
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to conduct language assessments and write clear evaluation reports
• Skilled at adapting lessons to different learning styles and levels
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Comfortable using digital learning tools and online teaching platforms.

Nice to have

• TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certification (or equivalent)
• Knowledge of business and IT-related English terminology and communication styles
• Experience teaching English to IT professionals.
