We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented Data Engineer to design and scale our data infrastructure. This role requires someone who ensures data is both technically robust and meaningfully used by the business.

Ingestion: Airbyte (self-hosted), custom Python
Transformation: Dataform, SQL, Python
Orchestration: Cloud Run / Cloud Functions, Airbyte
Infrastructure & Ops: GCP, Terraform
Storage: Cloud Storage
Visualisation: Looker Studio

Responsibilities:

Data Engineering & Architecture

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows (Python, SQL)

• Develop and optimize data models in BigQuery

• Ensure data reliability, performance, and quality across the warehouse

Data Integration

• Integrate marketing and e-commerce data sources (Google Ads, Meta Ads, GA4, Shopify, etc.) via APIs and ingestion tools

• Maintain and improve data ingestion processes (Airbyte and custom solutions)

Infrastructure & Deployment

• Deploy and manage services in GCP (Cloud Run / Cloud Functions)

• Manage infrastructure via Terraform or similar IaC tools

• Monitor pipeline health and troubleshoot failures

Analytics Support

• Support complex reporting needs and maintain advanced dashboards in Looker Studio

• Collaborate with analytics teams to ensure data is usable and well-documented

Requirements

Must have:

• 2-3 years in data engineering or backend development with a focus on analytics/data platforms

• Strong Python skills for data pipelines, automation, and API integrations

• Solid SQL skills (complex queries, data modeling, performance optimization; BigQuery preferred)

• Experience integrating external services via REST APIs / SDKs

• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT workflows

• Practical experience with BigQuery, Cloud Storage (or similar cloud services)

• Proficient in written and spoken English (minimum B2 level)

Nice to have:

• Terraform experience for repeatable client onboarding

• Data quality tooling (Dataform assertions / dbt tests)

• Docker + Cloud Run (Kubernetes is a plus)

• Comfortable communicating directly with clients

• GA4 / GTM familiarity (including GTM server-side)
