About the Role

We're a software development agency where each developer owns their project end-to-end, supported by a strong AI agent infrastructure. We need a Tech Lead who will be the technical authority across all projects — someone who raises the bar for the team, steps in when needed, and keeps evolving our AI-native development process.

You won't be micromanaging or reviewing every PR. But when a developer is stuck, makes a questionable architectural call, or ships something that doesn't hold up — you're the one who catches it, fixes the approach, and makes sure it doesn't happen again.

Responsibilities

Technical Authority

• Be the go-to person for architectural decisions across all projects

• Spot-check solutions and code when something looks off — not constant reviews, but targeted oversight

• Step in on complex problems: debugging, system design, critical integrations

• Set and enforce technical standards that the whole team follows

Team Growth

• Level up developers: improve their technical judgment, problem-solving, and autonomy

• Identify skill gaps and address them — through pairing, mentoring, or process changes

• Push the team toward higher performance and self-sufficiency so you intervene less over time

AI-Native Process Development (together with CTO)

• Evolve and maintain our AI agent pipelines — from planning to deployment

• Improve how agents are orchestrated, validated, and integrated into daily work

• Experiment with new AI tools and approaches, bring what works into the process

• Define what gets automated vs. what stays with humans

DevOps & Infrastructure

• Own CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and security

• Implement canary deployments, auto-rollback, and coverage gates

• Keep production stable across multiple projects

Delivery

• Translate client requirements into technical plans

• Manage timelines and risks across projects

• Handle multiple stacks and codebases simultaneously

Required Experience

• 5+ years in fullstack development, 2+ years in a tech lead role

• Strong TypeScript/Node.js, React or similar modern web stack

• DevOps: CI/CD, Docker, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)

• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB

• REST APIs, system architecture, integrations

• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) — beyond autocomplete

• Security best practices

• Fluent English and Russian

Nice to Have

• MCP integrations and AI agent orchestration

• Multiple frontend/backend frameworks (Vue, Next.js, Python/Django)

• Mobile development (React Native, Flutter)

• Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform, Pulumi)

• Agency/consultancy or startup experience
