A financial services venture expanding within regulated African markets is seeking a senior commercial leader to support strategic growth, partnership development, and market expansion initiatives.

This role requires a strong understanding of local market dynamics, regulatory environments, and business development practices across African jurisdictions. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing and growing relationships within local financial ecosystems while supporting expansion under domestic licensing frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute partnership and market development strategies across target jurisdictions
• Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, financial institutions, service providers, and strategic partners
• Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, distribution channels, and growth initiatives
• Support market-entry and expansion efforts within locally regulated environments
• Assess country-specific commercial, regulatory, and competitive landscapes
• Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term growth and regional expansion plans
• Represent the business in discussions with partners and industry participants

Requirements

• Proven experience in business development, partnerships, market expansion, or commercial leadership roles within financial services
• Strong understanding of African financial markets and local business practices
• Experience working with businesses operating under local regulatory and licensing frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage strategic commercial relationships
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in brokerage, online trading, capital markets, fintech, payments, or related financial services sectors
• Familiarity with retail trading ecosystems, investment platforms, or leveraged financial products
• Existing network within local financial, commercial, or regulatory communities
• Experience supporting market launches or expansion initiatives in emerging markets
