Zhubanov University, in partnership with Heriot-Watt University (UK), invites applications for academic position in Computer Engineering.

This is a unique opportunity to join an international academic partnership and contribute to the delivery of UK higher education programmes in Kazakhstan.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratories, and workshops in English
• Assess and support undergraduate students
• Supervise student projects
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic quality assurance
• Collaborate with colleagues from Zhubanov University and Heriot-Watt University
• Participate in research and international academic initiatives

Requirements

Essential

• PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related discipline
• Teaching or industry experience in a relevant field
• Strong programming skills (e.g. Python, Java, C/C++, OCaml)
• Ability to teach in English
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Desirable

• Experience in higher education teaching
• Experience with Canvas or other virtual learning environments
• Research publications and research experience
• Experience supervising student projects
• International academic or industry experience
