This is a key second-line of defense role, responsible for ensuring full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies within the organization.

We are looking for a senior-level compliance professional with experience in financial institutions (banking / microfinance / fintech lending).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s compliance framework
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor adherence to internal policies and procedures across all departments
• Identify compliance risks and propose mitigation measures
• Conduct regular compliance monitoring and internal checks
• Review and update internal policies in line with regulatory changes
• Support preparation for regulatory inspections and audits
• Provide compliance advisory to business units (credit, risk, collections, operations)
• Investigate compliance breaches and prepare reports for management
• Ensure proper implementation of AML/CFT requirements (if applicable)

Requirements (Mandatory)

• 5–7+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or internal control
• Experience in banking, microfinance, fintech, or financial services is required
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements in financial institutions
• Understanding of compliance frameworks and internal control systems
• Experience working with regulatory bodies or external audits is a strong advantage
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and report directly to senior management
• Fluent in English (mandatory)
• High level of integrity and professional ethics
