Business Development Lead

THE ROLE
An entrepreneurial opportunity to lead regional expansion across Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Armenia in the licensed live experiences and events sector — on an independent contract basis.

ENGAGEMENT SCOPE
  • Act as the primary regional representative for business development activities in the focus regions.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with both governmental and private sector clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within a high-value network across the live experiences and events ecosystem, including clients, malls, venues, arenas, and key partners — with a focus on originating and delivering licensed brand experiences, ticketed events, and non-ticketed activations.
  • Analyze market dynamics and proactively identify high-potential opportunities, including new locations, partners, and event formats that can drive commercial growth and competitive positioning.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and drive deals to closure, ensuring strong business outcomes and long-term partnerships.
  • Lead projects in coordination with stakeholders, from deal origination through to execution readiness, liaising with internal teams and local partners to ensure successful on-ground delivery.
  • Travel across the region as required to develop relationships, assess opportunities, support project delivery, and strengthen the company’s presence.
  • Build and develop a reliable supplier and partner ecosystem across the region to support the successful execution of licensed experiences, events, and scalable long-term operations.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluency in English and Russian (mandatory).
  • Degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field (preferred). A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial partnerships, ideally within retail, licensing, agency, or similar fast-paced environments.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of closing deals.
  • Good understanding of contracts and commercial/legal terms, with the ability to negotiate agreements confidently.
  • Solid grasp of financial and basic accounting principles, with the ability to assess deal viability.
  • Ability to independently build and grow a market from an early stage.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
