We are hiring an experienced elementary Lead Teacher for our Canopy group (ages 6–9), an English-medium class where structured academics meet project-based learning.

About Mulberry: Mulberry Academy is a neuroscience-informed, neuro-affirming learning community on the Nazarbayev University campus in Astana. We teach through real projects, the arts, and daily movement, grounded in the Mulberry Method™ and the I-to-We Framework™. Our approach is built on four ideas we live by: kids do well if they can, all behavior is communication, strengths first with support where it's needed, and all learning is relational.

What the role involves

• Lead the Canopy elementary classroom across core subjects, supported by an assistant teacher.
• Deliver structured, research-based curricula — Singapore Math, Orton-Gillingham reading and spelling, Classical progression science and history
• Design and run project-based learning cycles with sustained inquiry and public products.
• Assess and track progress using DORA (reading) and ADAM (math), and maintain clear learning documentation.
• Create a neuro-affirming classroom through universal design; treat behavior as communication and prioritize co-regulation.

What we're looking for

• Experience teaching elementary-age children; a relevant teaching qualification is strongly preferred.
• Strong English — instruction is in English; Russian or Kazakh is an asset.
• Background in structured literacy and/or math is a strong plus.
• Comfort with project-based learning and regular assessment.
• A collaborative, reflective, team-minded temperament.
