We are looking for an experienced Senior WordPress / WooCommerce Developer to join our team and take ownership of a modern e-commerce platform hosted on AWS. The role combines backend development, infrastructure migration, and frontend integration, making it ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across the full application stack.

This role is prospective and has been created in line with the company’s planned team expansion.

The successful candidate will participate in migrating an existing WooCommerce solution from a managed hosting platform to AWS while ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain WordPress and WooCommerce applications.
• Migrate WordPress websites from managed hosting platforms to AWS infrastructure.
• Design and improve backend services using Node.js (TypeScript).
• Develop and maintain Vue.js frontend components.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs.
• Optimize website performance, security, and scalability.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with product owners and other engineering teams.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of commercial experience with WordPress/WooCommerce.
• Proven experience migrating WordPress websites from managed hosting platforms (WP Engine, Kinsta, Pantheon, etc.) to AWS.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js (TypeScript).
• Solid experience with Vue.js.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Good understanding of modern software development practices.
• English level sufficient for daily communication (В2+).

Nice to Have:

• AWS services: EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS/MySQL, S3, Route 53, CloudFront, ACM / SSL, IAM
• Docker and Docker Compose.
• CI/CD (GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline).
• Experience with: Spreedly, Vonage, HubSpot, Netlify.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure automation.
