About the Role

We are looking for a proactive Tax Analyst to join our Finance Team and support SLB’s operations across Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

In this role, you won’t just file reports - you will manage complex tax environments, handle cross-border transactions, and work directly with state tax authorities and internal finance leaders. If you have a background in Big-4 or multinational corporate tax, strong analytical skills, and an interest in applying tax law to real-world business strategy, this role offers a clear path for growth in the world’s leading technology company serving the global energy industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance & Reporting: Oversee full-cycle tax and statistical compliance for regional entities (Kazakhstan & Uzbekistan), ensuring strict adherence to local legislation and corporate standards.

Tax Audits & State Relations: Act as a key point of contact for tax authorities, handling inquiries, tax inspections, and audits end-to-end.

Financial Reconciliation: Analyze and control variances between fiscal accounting and internal management reporting; perform Balance Sheet tax-related reviews and note preparations.

Cross-Border & Transfer Pricing: Support international taxation workflows and internal corporate restructuring/reporting.

Legal & Advisory Support: Interpret tax law changes, evaluate tax risks, and provide actionable advice to operational and finance managers.

What We Are Looking For:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Law.

Experience: 3+ years in Tax / Accounting. Experience in Big-4 or a multinational corporation is strongly preferred.

Certifications: ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or local KZ CPA (completed or in progress) is a strong plus.

Hard Skills: Deep understanding of Tax Code & Accounting principles.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, assertiveness in dealing with state bodies, strong analytical thinking, and eagerness to grow within a global energy leader.

Languages: Proficiency in Kazakh, English and Russian (both written and spoken).
