DESCRIPTION

Currently we are looking for talented and motivated Data Scientists for our Minsk office to make the team even stronger.

This job is about turning (big) data into actionable knowledge, which requires a blend of scientific, problem solving, analytical, technical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Identifying the business problems;
• Finding the right data and methods to address them;
• Building and validating analytical models;
• Presenting the findings in a clear and informative way.

Requirements:

• Aptitude for problem solving;
• Data focused applied mathematics (statistical analysis, machine learning);
• Decent communication / presentation skills (including the level of English good enough to interact with native speakers);
• RDBMS/SQL knowledge;
• Programming experience (Java and Python preferred).

Nice to have:

• Data analysis tools and libraries such as Python (NumPy / SciPy / scikit-learn / pandas / matplotlib), R, SAS, SPSS, MATLAB, etc;
• Hadoop stack;
• Spark / MLlib;
• Familiarity with BI (DW / ETL / OLAP);
• Data visualization skills;
• NLP/text mining;
• Econometrics models and methods.
