The customer is the company that was established in 1978. Since then it has become a well-known manufacturer of top-quality and sturdy labeling machines. Today, our customer is a leading supplier of fully integrated labeling systems, providing companies with a highly efficient and reliable interface covering production and logistics domains.

Apart from the main factory at Hartenholm near Hamburg, the company operates offices in Dsseldorf and Auenwald. There are also sales agencies in Great Britain, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, and the USA.

The Project is concerned with developing new version of middleware along with its completely new web version, that connects, manages and controls all processes in the industrial labeling processes. The main goal is to provide a web interface that allows engineers, and even clients, to manage devices present in the factory, check their health or transfer data required for labelling. Besides, there is also the need for features like: database management, representation of various statistics and user role management.

Requirements:

• 3+ years as a Java Developer focused on backend/database development;

• Solid knowledge in Java 8;

• Development with the use of Object Oriented Programming design principles and practices;

• Experience working in J2EE environments;

• Strong SQL/MySQL experience;

• Experience with ETL processes – a plus.

Technologies:

Java, Ant, Gradle, Docker, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, MySQL, SVN

English level:

• Upper-Intermediate level

Responsibilities:

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC);

• Decompose and translate business requirements into detailed design specifications;

• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review;

• Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools;

• Proactively collaborate with the appropriate matrix of IT teams (business solution delivery, architecture, development, QA, infrastructure & support) for project estimation construction, and delivery of business solutions.
