CENTRAL ASIAN UNIVERSITY is seeking a warm, empathetic, and highly organized graduate to serve as the primary point of contact for our Academic Affairs Department. Responsibilities:
• Greet and support students in person at the service desk, via email, and through the online student portal.
• Manage the departmental inbox, log student requests, and route them accurately to the Academic Registrar's Office or Examination Unit.
• Help students understand and navigate university regulations, enrollment procedures, module selection, and appeals.
• Issue official academic documents (enrollment letters, status verifications) once authorized by the Registrar.
• Undertake additional duties as directed by the Head of Academic Affairs in support of departmental service delivery.
Requirements:Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Humanities, Communication,
• Education, Social Sciences, Psychology, or a related field.
Experience:
• No prior professional work experience is required.
• Candidates must demonstrate genuine interpersonal warmth, a service-oriented mindset, and a strong commitment to student welfare.
Hard Skills:
• Confident and proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Outlook (professional email management and scheduling), Word (correspondence preparation), and Excel (basic data entry and tracking).
• Competent in maintaining structured communication logs, digital filing systems, and shared information repositories.
• Strong reading comprehension and the ability to interpret, apply, and clearly explain complex academic regulations and procedures to a diverse student population.
• Ability to manage high volumes of enquiries simultaneously with consistent accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Soft Skills:
• A genuine enthusiasm for supporting students and a deep commitment to delivering accessible, respectful, and high-quality service.
• Naturally clear, empathetic, and professional in all face-to-face, phone, and written interactions.
• Ability to stay calm, composed, and supportive when guiding students through stressful or complex situations.
• Capable of quickly absorbing complex institutional policies and applying them accurately in live service scenarios.
• Takes pride in maintaining 100% accuracy in student records, communications, and digital filing.
• Action-oriented mindset with the ability to identify issues early, find solutions, or escalate them appropriately.
