Research and analysis: Conduct economic research on topics relevant to Uzbekistan’s development agenda, including macroeconomic trends, sectoral development, productivity, investment, labor markets, trade, fiscal policy, innovation, digital economy, and regional development. Collect, clean, process, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from national and international sources. Prepare statistical summaries, charts, tables, dashboards, and evidence-based analytical inputs for CPR publications and projects. Apply appropriate economic, statistical, and comparative methods to assess policy problems and reform options. Monitor economic trends, government reforms, international best practices, and policy developments relevant to CPR’s work.
- Publications and knowledge products: Contribute to the preparation of policy briefs, analytical papers, reports, presentations, concept notes, and background papers. Prepare clear, concise, and well-structured analytical texts in English, Russian and/or Uzbek. Support the development of evidence-based policy recommendations. Ensure that analytical products are accurate, properly referenced, logically structured, and suitable for professional publication.
- Project support: Support CPR’s research and advisory projects, including data collection, desk research, stakeholder consultations, literature reviews, and preparation of deliverables. Assist in preparing proposals, technical notes, project concepts, and analytical inputs for partners and clients. Coordinate with experts, consultants, government counterparts, development partners, and other stakeholders when required.
- Communication and presentation: Prepare presentation materials, infographics, and visual summaries of research findings. Present research results internally and, when needed, externally to partners, stakeholders, and expert audiences. Support CPR’s public communication by providing evidence-based content for articles, posts, briefs, and public events.
- Master degree in economics, public policy, development studies, statistics, finance, international economics, or a related field. A PhD degree in related discipline is an advantage.
- At least 2 years of relevant professional or research experience.
- Strong command of Uzbek and English is required. Knowledge of Russian is desirable.
- Strong understanding of economic concepts, policy analysis, and development issues.
- Experience working with data, economic indicators, official statistics, and international databases.
