Role Overview
As a Middle+/Senior Payment Manager, you will take ownership of the operational management of payment risk, fraud prevention, and compliance with payment network requirements. You will also oversee day-to-day payment operations, including payment processing, routing, and vendor management across Stripe, Solidgate, and acquiring partners.
It is a full-time individual contributor position with a high level of subject matter ownership. We operate with legal entities in the EU and the US.

Location: Minsk / other locations
Format of work: Hybrid in Minsk (4 days in the office, 1 remote), fully remote across Belarus and abroad.
Responsibilities

own card network and acquirer compliance programs by monitoring key metrics, preparing and executing remediation plans, and proactively ensuring the company's readiness for new payment network requirements;

manage payment risk and fraud operations by monitoring dispute, chargeback, and refund metrics, administering chargeback prevention tools, and investigating payment-related incidents;

oversee payment processing and routing operations, including traffic allocation across payment providers and MIDs, failover management, and the integration and testing of new payment providers;

manage day-to-day relationships with vendors and acquiring partners (including Stripe, Solidgate, and others), handling communications, operational requests, commercial coordination, and escalations;

support the team with payment analytics by analyzing approval rates, declined payments, refunds, and disputes, identifying operational bottlenecks, and recommending improvements;

maintain payment operations documentation and share domain expertise to ensure critical payments knowledge is documented and distributed across the team.
What We Expect from You
- 4–5+ years of experience in payments, payment processing, or payment risk management;
- hands-on experience managing card network compliance programs and chargeback prevention solutions;
- strong understanding of the end-to-end dispute and chargeback lifecycle, from fraud signals and alerts through representment and resolution;
- experience working with payment orchestrators and managing payment routing across multiple payment providers and MIDs (e.g., Solidgate, Primer, Spreedly, or similar platforms);
- solid understanding of PCI DSS requirements;
- experience supporting subscription-based business models and recurring payments.
- English proficiency sufficient for written communication and meetings with acquiring partners and payment vendors (В1+).

- strong sense of ownership and the ability to independently manage an area of responsibility with minimal supervision;
- excellent prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives with strict external deadlines;
- high level of accuracy and attention to detail—mistakes in this role can directly impact revenue and merchant account standing with acquiring partners;
- clear and effective written communication, including vendor correspondence, process documentation, and metric reporting;
- willingness to share knowledge and build scalable processes that are not dependent on a single individual.
