China Construction Bank Corporation Astana Branch is an overseas branch of China Construction Bank Corporation, which is Kazakhstan-and-Central-Asia oriented. The Branch intends to provide banking services and products throughout Kazakhstan as well as Central Asia. The fundamental client base consists of AIFC participants, local Kazakhstan firms, Chinese firms and etc.

Operations Department is seeking an Officer of Operations Department.

Responsibilities:

Clearing and settlement:

1. Processing customer’s incoming and outgoing payments and other instructions

2. Currency Control

3. Currency Control reports

4. Daily payment in KZT or foreign currency;

5. Incoming and outgoing remittance via swift;

6. Ensure the smoothness of daily clearing, parameter setup and information management of money market transactions, such as interbank borrowing and lending, foreign currency swap, bonds purchase and sale, etc.;

7. Currency control and other currency related work;

8. Ensure the smoothness of centralization operation;

9. Nostro and Vostro account reconciliation and management.

Operation:

1. Customer’s account opening / closure;

2. Customer’s deposits opening and closure;

3. Keeping of customer’s documents;

4. Notification to Tax Authorities;

5. Reply on customer’s requests and audit confirmation;

6. Any issues related to customer service area;

7. Management and operation of Loan’s drawdown, re-price, reimbursement, funds clearing and related fees, etc.;

8. Management and maintenance of clients’ information and their accounts in Bank internal system;

9. Management and maintenance of bonds’ price and reconciliation monthly;

10. Storage of transaction documents, vouchers, etc.;

11. Fulfilling department’s compliance work according to local supervision authority and CCB Head Office;

12. Management and maintenance of parameters of employee and institutions in Bank internal system;

13. Fulfilling system testing, updating, etc.;

Reports

14. Reports to regulatory authority (AFSA);

15. Reports to CCB Head Office, internal and external audit;

16.Any other duties assigned from time to time by the head of department and management of branch.

Requirements:

Education and training: Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, banking or related discipline or equivalent education background;

Experience: at least three years work in banks, or in an area relevant to the assigned responsibilities;

Communication skills: fluent English, Chinese is preferred;

Integrity, impartiality, dedication, strong sense of responsibility and perfect team work;

Self-motivated and customer focused.
